Automatic Backup Service

MM Computer Services offers an automatic backup service. We have partnered with Barracuda Networks to provide this service which stores data both locally and at multiple off-site locations.

This backup service eliminates the actions required for tape backups and solves the problem of unreliable tape backup restoration. It protects against a building disaster and a regional disaster, such as Hurricane Katrina. Once it is set up, it backs up files daily and stores them at multiple off-site locations without any operator intervention. Security is ensured because the data is sent encrypted to the off-site locations. Restoring data can be done locally from a backup server or from the Barracuda remote storage sites.

To set up this service, we install a backup server at the customer site. We then configure the data to be backed up from the customer network. Once it is set up, everything occurs automatically, including the monitoring of the process to ensure reliability. The customer has access to the locally stored data for restoration of individual files, or a full restoration can be obtained from Barracuda.

This convenient and valuable service makes backups easier, more efficient, and more reliable. It is an important capability for any business.
